Ahmedabad, June 04, 2025: York IE, a global leader in AI-driven product strategy and software development operating out of Ahmedabad, recently hosted its internal hackathon, “Hack the York IE Way 2025”—a 12-hour innovation sprint centred on using artificial intelligence to boost developers’ productivity. Held exclusively for employees in Ahmedabad, the event gathered approximately 75 participants, organized into 23 teams. Their mission: to develop AI-driven tools that streamline different stages of the software development lifecycle, from automating Jira processes to producing production-ready code.
Participants
ideated, developed prototypes to address the problem statement, and came up
with solutions to streamline development processes through smart use of AI. To
support their efforts, York IE provided all teams with access to paid OpenAI
resources, encouraging hands-on experimentation with cutting-edge technology.
After an
intense day of innovation, two teams emerged victorious. Team
`DevEngers`—comprising Pushkar Modi, Parth Raninga, Vishal Prajapati and Kintul
Shah won the Hackathon and bagged a prize of Rs 21,000. The runners-up, Team
Neural Knights, with members namely Nandit Kalaria, Bhavya Prajapati, and Raj
Shah, were awarded Rs 10,000.
The second
prize of INR 10,000 was sponsored by senior leaders Mike York, Chief
Technology Officer; Evan York, Vice President of Product Strategy and
Development and Kalrav Parsana, Vice President, India Operations of the
company.
A panel of
external judges assessed the projects based on the innovation, impact, and
technical excellence. The winning entries stood out for their practical
application of AI to address real-world software development challenges.
