Ahmedabad, July 8, 2024: Indian hospitality major, ITC Hotels, is pleased to announce the promotion of Mr Keenan McKenzie to the role of Cluster General Manager in Ahmedabad for two key properties of ITC Hotels. While continuing to oversee the entire operations at ITC Narmada – a Luxury Collection Hotel in Ahmedabad, he will also be steering the growth of WelcomHotel by ITC in Ahmedabad.
With an extensive career spanning two decades in the hospitality and services sectors, Keenan brings a wealth of experience to his new role. His experience of steering the growth of ITC Narmada – a Luxury Collection Hotel and taking it to newer heights, while hosting guests from across the world in the value-driven market of Ahmedabad, coupled with his expertise of 20 years in the sector, will add value to his role at WelcomHotel Ahmedabad.
Keenan began his journey back in 2000 as a management trainee at the ITC Hotel Management Institute (formerly known as the Welcome Group Management Institute). Coming with a degree in Tourism Studies from IGNOU, Keenan began his professional career in 2004 at ITC Kakatiya in Hyderabad. His career path includes noteworthy stints at Welcome Hotel Grand Bay in Visakhapatnam, ITC Rajputana in Jaipur, ITC Sonar in Kolkata, and ITC Maratha in Mumbai.
Throughout his career, Keenan has demonstrated exceptional leadership and operational excellence across ITC’s luxury hotel brands. His strategic vision and dedication have consistently driven revenue growth and enhanced guest experiences, notably during his tenure as Hotel Manager at ITC Maratha.
