Ahmedabad, 16 July 2026: What began two decades ago as a simple employee-led initiative has today grown into one of Gujarat’s most enduring voluntary blood donation movements. Marking the birthday of Shri Brij Mohan Chiripal, Promoter of Chiripal Group, the Group has launched this year’s blood donation campaign, reaffirming its commitment to public health and the spirit of giving.
The month-long campaign commenced on 15th July 2026, with the inaugural blood donation drive held at Nandan Denim’s plant in Piplaj, Ahmedabad. The drive was inaugurated by Shri Dineshbhai Makwana, Member of Parliament, in the presence of Shri Jyotiprasad Chiripal. Organised in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society, along with Sarvodaya Blood Centre, Hiramani Aarogyadham, Zydus Hospitals, Prathama Blood Centre and Jivraj Mehta Hospital, the campaign will be conducted across 26 locations spanning Chiripal Group’s corporate offices and manufacturing facilities, bringing together nearly 20,000 employees.
Over the past two decades, the Annual Blood Donation drive has collected more than 55,000 units of blood, helping strengthen blood banks while creating a culture of volunteerism and social responsibility across the organisation. This year, the Group aims to collect 5,000 units of blood, further expanding its impact.
For Chiripal Group, the campaign has always been about much more than organising a blood donation drive. It is a reflection of a culture where employees come together every year for a common social cause. What started as a small tradition has evolved into a Group-wide movement, with participation cutting across businesses, functions and locations, reinforcing the values of compassion, collective responsibility and service. It has become an integral part of Chiripal Group’s culture, demonstrating how employee participation can translate into meaningful social impact. Every year, colleagues across businesses volunteer alongside one another, strengthening a sense of belonging while supporting an endeavour that touches countless lives beyond the workplace.
Over the years, the blood donation drive has also extended beyond Chiripal’s own locations. In collaboration with residential societies and partner institutions, the Group has encouraged wider public participation, enabling more people to become part of the movement and helping increase access to safe blood for those in need.
Speaking about this drive, Ronak Chiripal, Promoter, Chiripal Group said, “The campaign reflects Chiripal Group’s broader philosophy of creating value beyond business. Alongside its contributions across textiles, petrochemicals, renewable energy and other sectors, the Group continues to invest in activities that bring people together for a larger purpose. By encouraging employees to contribute their time and effort towards society, Chiripal has nurtured a culture where compassion and responsibility are embedded into everyday work.”
As this year’s campaign gets underway, Chiripal Group invites eligible citizens, institutions and residential communities to join the movement and be a part of a cause that has been creating a meaningful difference for over two decades. With every edition, it continues to grow into a larger collective effort, demonstrating the power of people coming together to make a lasting impact.
